Let’s start with you telling us a little about yourself:
I’m a Jersey girl surviving in the South these days. Mother to a beautiful little girl and let me tell you, it is hard to raise a mini version of yourself. I love coffee, animals and I’m a sucker for a good love story.
What is your current project?
I am currently working on the follow up book to Finding Jordie.
Is there anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
A lot of it is based on real life experiences but I was never this cool. Each character was actually inspired by someone I know. What makes that so great is that I know some pretty fun and awesome people. For the most part though, it’s simply a healthy dose of embellishments and imagination.
What was your favorite part to write?
That’s like asking me to pick which one of my kids is my favorite, if I had more than one! If I had to choose I’d have to say my favorite part to write was the first chapter. Only because it started out to be this small side project and ended up being something so much greater.
How did you come up with the title?
Oh the title…its had many titles…and I actually came up with it when I wasn’t obsessing over giving it the perfect title.
When you aren’t writing what are some other things/hobbies that you enjoy?
Spending time with my daughter. I feel like I blinked and she was four. In less than a year she’ll be in Kindergarten. I’m taking in all I can of her before she will be gone all day for school. I love being an absolute goof on twitter with my friends.
Do you have a favorite author/book?
As strange as this may sound…I really don’t because all the authors over at Crimson Romance have spoiled me as of late. Such a variety of style and story has made it impossible to have a favorite anymore. As long as its romance and I don’t have to think about it too much I’m happy. I have to think way too much all day long, when I read I like to decompress.
When did you consider yourself an “author”?
As soon as I know, you’ll know! LOL This is still all so foreign to me. I don’t think its actually sunk in that people will be reading what I wrote. It kind of freaks me out at times.
This or That
Mountains or Beach ~ Mountains in the winter too many bugs in the summer.
Introvert or Extrovert ~ Extrovert
Icecream or Cake ~ Cake
Morning or Night ~Definitely Night
Glass half full or glass half empty ~ Half empty, this way if it spills I’m not all that upset.

I just finished Finding Jordie and reviewed it today. It was so engrossing and I loved the sass and vinegar of her heroine and the sweet and loving nature of her sexy hero, Nathan. Plus, there was an outstanding cast of secondary characters and lots of tension. Took me away from my own edits more than I’d like to admit.
Nice interview, and the cover of Finding Jordie ia stunning. I know what you mean about figuring out when you consider yourself an author. Thanks for the shout out for CR authors 🙂
Wonderful interview, Denise and Harley. And thank you, Harley, for your lovely comment about your fellow authors at Crimson Romance. We salute you! May FINDING JORDIE continue to have great success!
Great interview ladies! I know what you mean about finding it hard to choose your favourite part of your book H.J.! Really looking forward to reading about Jordie, I’ve been hearing some fabulous things about her.
Great interview! I can’t wait to read Finding Jordie. It sounds fabulous, and another great Crimson Romance story.
Thanks guys! This was fun!
