The Lucky 7 Game

There’s a meme going around Facebook and Twitter called the Lucky 7 game.  I’ve been tagged multiple times and haven’t participated because most people tagged me last week and I was a bit consumed with Sacrifice‘s release.
But a couple of days ago, Claire LeGrand tagged me on her blog, along with six other extremely talented writers, and I realized I had no excuse to not participate. Especially after I read the lines in Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons that fit within the parameters.
The rules:

  1. Go to page 7 or 77 in your current manuscript
  2. Go to line 7
  3. Copy down the next seven lines/sentences as they are – no cheating
  4. Tag 7 other authors

The seven authors I tagged? I suck at this and here lies the true reason I never do these things. I worry I’ll annoy people. I worry they’ve already done it. I worry that someone will feel left out.
Basically I worry about every possible aspect.  Wow. I’m experiencing deja vu. I just had a similar converasation with my crit partner Trisha about this yesterday.
ANYWAY.
Here’s the lines from the current page 77 of Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons:
After I looked in the bathroom mirror, I understood why Andy Jr. had looked so terrified. My hair stuck out all over my head. Mascara was smudged under my eyes, and foamy toothpaste hung from lower lip and down my chin.
I looked like a rabid Frankenstein’s bride.
Throw in my threats and talk about getting arrested and I had just became the neighborhood crazy lady.
Which seven writers? I gift this to anyone who wants to participate. Just post in the comments below so I can come visit your words.

AWESOMESAUCE!!!! I SO relate to Rose. Seriously. My husband had to stop me after we left the house last Saturday morning because I was sporting a pretty good toothpaste ring around my mouth. Fun times. 🙂
Might participate later this evening – on my Tumblr – I’m SO bad about keeping up my regular blog.

Pfft. Didn’t we already have this conversation, Denise? Don’t worry about what people think. Also, love the snippet! <3
