Reviews

Chosen (The Chosen #1)
Books and Needlepoint:  ”This was one of the best books that I have read in awhile.  From the very first paragraph I was hooked.”

Books and Barks: 4 out of 5 stars “I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this novel and can’t wait to read book two in the series.”

Aobibliosphere: “author Denise Grover Swank’s novel is full of enigmas and heart-stopping scenes from the first paragraph to the last. the action does not let up and the questions just keep piling up too.”

Another Look Book Reviews: “There is an explosion scene that blew my mind. The pain and despair scream through the pages and I my vision got more than a little blurry.”

Gothic Mom’s Book Reviews: 4 out of 5 stars “Chosen is just the second published work by Swank, and after reading Chosen all I can say is WOW.  Chosen grabs your interest right from page one and takes you on a series of adventures to the very last page.”

Laurie’s Thoughts and Reviews:  4.5 stars: “Here, is imagined an exciting concept, told in a beautifully, haunting manner that had me chuckling one minute and gasping in horror a few paragraphs later.”

Chick Lit Plus:   5 stars “Stellar! Another page-turner that had me biting my nails and desperately clicking the ‘next’ page on my Kindle.”

Rea Book Review:  5 stars “…at times I felt like I was gripping my kindle so tight anticipating what was going to happen next.”

Hunted (The Chosen #2)
Gothic Mom’s Book Reviews:  Four out of five stars: ”Hunted is another home run book by Swank if I have ever saw one. It maintains the adventure, suspense, action, and emotional drama that many second installment books lack.”

Here (On the Otherside #1)
Avery’s Book Nook: Five stars “… the first half of the book was great, really sweet and cute, but the second half of the book was so engaging, fast-paced and unique (it literally kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it). Now this might sound a bit strange because these books have little in common, but I think that if “Spellbound” by Cara Lynn Shultz, “Across the Universe” by Beth Revis, Imogen Rose’s “Portal” series, and “Delirium” by Lauren Oliver were to have a baby- this book would be the end result.”

The Book Hookup: Four stars “In short, this book had me intrigued from page 1.  Immediately I liked the characters, their intelligent interactions, and the descriptive way the book was written.  But, the best was yet to come.  The second half of the book had a twist and when it was revealed, I had to buckle up because I knew it was going to be quite a ride!”

Chick Lit Plus: Five Stars “I was so excited to host Denise again – for the third time – because her writing is truly phenomenal. The worlds she creates, the characters that will stick with you, and the way I can just not close her books has made her one of my top authors of 2011.”

Turning the Pages Review: Five stars “If I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be… FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Once again, Denise has had me on the edge of my seat for theentire story.”

Gypsy Book Reviews:  Five stars “HERE is a story of loses and aching and romance. It’s such a gorgeous book, from the cover to the words inside, that all I really want to do is stare at the cover.”

Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes
Everybody Needs a Little Romance: “As for Joe…his part was written in a way that was more believable to me than many of the heroes I’ve read in similar situations. His conflict is real, and the way he handles it–both the good and the bad–rings true.”

Chick Lit Plus : Five Stars “Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes has easily topped my Favorites for 2011″

Booksessed: “I was hooked as soon as there were snooping neighbors and accusations of other neighbors being Yankees.”

Rea Book Review:What I enjoyed most about this book was the suspense factor. I kept chopping and changing my mind with what I thought was going to happen and all in all I was wrong!”

My Life, My Randomness: “I simply adored this book. Rose’s innocence, from beginning to end, was absolutely endearing.”

In the Name of Books: “I loved the story and it had everything that I could want in a book. A strong main character, mystery, and romance.”

Just Jump: “This was one of those books that I kept telling myself one more page, then I need to put it down. Instead I found myself tearing through the book instead, needing to know the outcome.”

Amie’s Reviews: “Swanks unorthodox sense of humor had me snickering page after page and out right laughing on many others. The book is clever, funny, and bright.”

The Reading Nook ”Wow what a completly swoon-worthy book!! I haven’t read a book that made me swoon as much as this book since Anna and and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.” and “Denise Grover Swank is now an autobuy author for me.”
